Custom Badge Requirements
In order to clarify and simplify the ordering process, please read the following guidelines when ordering a custom badge.
For the protection of all individuals and the integrity of our business, you may be required to provide the necessary credentials when purchasing certain state, federal, and local badges which contain certain language. It only takes a few minutes to submit your credentials.
Any full size badge that signifies a law enforcement officer requires a valid law enforcement ID or work ID or a letter on department letterhead stating that the person placing the order is authorized to do so. This letter must be signed by a superior officer or supervisor.
Credentials for badges with federal or military seals are also required and they must be shipped directly to a federal building or military base.
Badges for retirees require a department ID or retirement documentation.
Large dollar amount orders may require a credit card authorization form.
Badges with engravings of “City Of New York Police” can’t be processed.

Custom badges take 4 weeks for production. (standard finishes). The deluxe finishes can take 5 weeks.
Please be aware of the following exceptions/stipulations/disclaimers:
Smaller size mini and Family Badge styles, DO NOT require any certain credentials.
We are happy to work with collectors, prop and movie companies. Please e-mail prior to ordering.
Badges with certain language engraved on them may require verification or documentation.
The ID or Credentials must match the name of the person placing the order. Some exceptions available.
It is a crime to falsify any credentials or verification documents.
Once orders are submitted they CAN’T be changed or altered in any way.
There are NO refunds on custom badges once production begins.
